Pride and prejudice

Reading this article makes me sick:

We went all over the Bay Area to search and bought all the flags we could get, designed our own banners and posters, put them on the web so other can use as well, took a day off to show our support for the Olympics and made our voices heard. In the end, we "became" part of the Chinese government conspiracy.

How good is free press if the press is biased to begin with? Most Americans are grown up with the belief that Chinese are all communists and all evil thanks to the free press that wasn’t that free after all. Wasn’t that a brain wash as well? There was an American (I assume he is) who spat at us and shouted "you’re all communists, shame on you". LOL.

I feel that Chinese living abroad are more open minded than Americans and have more objective opinions than both Chinese living in China and Americans, both of which only have learned one side of the story while we’ve heard both.

I don’t like CCP that much and I know China has issues. But I am Chinese and I’m proud of being a Chinese. Very few people planed to go except those sports/Olympics fans. But when the separatists and the media made it a national embarrassment, it became a whole different matter. We put aside our differences with the Chinese government and united together to defend our dignity. All my friends who showed up decided to come during the last couple of days. While looting and vandalizing in Tibet was called only protest, we trying to overwhelm Tibetan activists with flags and chantings are "thugs"…

When We were silent no more, You say we were Brainwashed-Xenophoics. Why do you hate us so much? We asked. "No," You Answered, "We don’t hate You." We don’t Hate You either, But Do you understand us? "Of course We do," You said, "We have AFP, CNN and BBCs…" What do you really want from us? Think Hard first, then Answer… Because you only get so many chances, Enough is Enough, Enough Hypocrisy for this one world. 布什在任这些年，大家终日惶惶不安。先是担心恐怖主义袭击。伊拉克打了几年，越打敌人越多。然后是房价飞涨，挣的钱不够买个鸽子笼。好容易在房价最高的时候跳了火抗，开始出现房贷危机，房价又开跌，辛苦的血汗钱眼看要逝如东流。文章里说啥是中产阶级呢？稳定的生活是起码的标准。每天都担心房市，股市，油价，就业。看来中产阶级的日子还远。

 

为啥大家就选了布什当总统呢。一次又一次的减税貌似不错。可是这点小恩小惠不过区区几百块钱。真正受惠的是他身后支持他的super rich people。一个capital gain tax reduction就省了他们百万百万的票子。政府的税收就减少了billions of dollars。那边又花着billions of billions of dollars打仗。年年入不敷出，债台高筑。打仗打得又油价飙升。两者一块儿导致美元贬值，通货膨胀。那几百块的小恩小惠还不够填补。

 

共和党是富人党，民主党是穷人党（兼顾富人），可怜了我们中不溜半穷不富的没人替我们作主，只有受欺负的份。

想要不受压迫，只有炒股投资，一跃跻身富人行列，靠dividends和capital gain吃饭，然后给共和党撑腰，保护即得利益。

炒股不成，倾家荡产，就可以改投民主党，拖着一家老小吃救济补助，街头弹个小曲儿贴补点家用，不用交税。

千万不要做中产阶级。

Bin Laden is like Hitler and Lenin??

"History teaches us that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious
men is a terrible mistake," Bush said. "Bin Laden and his terrorist
allies have made their intentions as clear as Lenin and Hitler before
them. And the question is, will we listen?"

I don’t understand how these three people can be filed under the same category by Bush. Can’t help but laugh at Bush’s stupidity. It’s a little stretch to label Hitler as a terrorist. Terrorist and leader of an invasive administration are two different concepts. Terrorists’ primary target is civilian and the goal is to stir as much fear as possible while Hitler was launching wars against other countries’ military forces and his goal was to occupy and control other countries.

And Lenin a terrorist? Come on~~ Another mix up of two concepts. You can’t call communism, a different ideology from capitalism, terrorism. So all leaders of Communist parties are terrorists now? They don’t throw bombs at civilian of other countries. I’ve only heard and seen American army, led by Mr. Bush, and the Blackwater, hired by our commander in chief, killing Iraqi civilian. In that sense, should we call Bush a terrorist?

As a matter of fact, a lot of people around the world do call him just that…

And I’m sick of Bush keep using Bin Laden as a cover for the wars he launched for other purposes. How much money and how many soldiers are actually used to find Bin Laden? Close to none compared with the money and people spent in Iraq. If he had focused on capturing Bin Laden just as he did on Saddam. Bin Laden would have been dead now, too. But he doesn’t want to do that, he wants Bin Laden to live well and live long.

Because if Laden is dead, he won’t have any more excuses to continue his wars and maybe launch new wars. He wants American people to continue living under the fear of terrorism… Sneaky bastard.
